It is with great relief that monarchs in Malaysia have taken a stand against extremists to defend national unity and harmony.

Religion, especially Islam, has always been a sensitive issue in Malaysia.

“As a ‘I Am Malaysian First’ citizen, I am loyal to country and the King (Yang di-Pertuan Agong),” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

He said the sovereign rulers of Malaysia, as religious heads of their respective states, “are the paramount authority on religious matters”.

“I, therefore, do not intend to comment any further on the matter. The Johor Sultan has spoken (above video clip) and that is his command to his subjects,” Syed Razak said, adding that the Council of Rulers had also made its stand clear, supporting the Johor Sultan.

Let the lights continue to shine for Malaysia! Happy Deepavali!
https://youtu.be/kg8BDJm9fCc (VIDEO: Happy Deepavali 2017)

Deepavali, a global festival celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, is known as the festival of lights that bring goodness and replaces all the darkness.

Like all other festivals in this world, Deepavali is also a celebration of friendship, family and fellowship.

I wish to remind all Malaysians, irrespective of race, creed or religion, that we are all Malaysian First in our beloved multi-racial multi-religious nation.

Our loyalty to Malaysia is undivided and unreserved.

And national harmony and unity hinges on two factors – mutual respect and tolerance – that must be upheld and defended by all Malaysians.

This nation that we love is built by Malaysians and that includes the minorities.

That the minorities contribute some 90% of income tax for the federal government to develop Malaysia speaks volumes of their contributions to nation-building.

Happy Deepavali Malaysians!

OMG! The unthinkable nightmare for Petronas and Malaysia!

OMG! The unthinkable nightmare for Petronas and Malaysia!
The credible and reliable international business news TV network CNBC has published a strategist’s shocking prediction that oil will crash to US$10 a barrel with the electric vehicle (EV) revolution.

If the prediction is accurate, then the Malaysian federal government has no time to waste to prepare for the worst and reduce drastically its dependency on oil and Petronas for revenue.

“As I have consistently and regularly highlighted in my blogs and Facebook page, Petronas and Malaysia just cannot continue with business as usual because of the lightning speed global progress and development of the EV technology,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

“About the only solution for Petronas to survive and remain relevant and viable in business is to diversify its business and operations. This, I have also stressed in previous blog postings,” he added.

Syed Razak said: “According to the CNBC report, 70% of oil is used for…

Good job MCMC but it has no business blocking news portals, websites

Good job MCMC but it has no business blocking news portals, websites
Of the 5,044 websites blocked by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) between 2014 and 2016, 4,277 are pornographic, obscene and seditious websites.

The rest of the websites contain elements of gambling, prostitution, cheating and piracy.

“The statistics are enough reason for parents to pay some attention to where their children visit in cyberspace,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

He said gone were the days when it was enough for parents and teachers to keep a watchful eye on the behavior of children and their company of friends.

“The internet is both an equally good and bad influence on children and adults. But, we have no choice but to live with it, be mature with whatever information that we access,” he added.

He said the MCMC was only discharging its duty by banning the websites.

However, the MCMC had no business banning news websites and portals because news readers, inc…

Pro-US Singapore thumps its chest that its ports will remain the preferred choice
Asean Today claims in a report that kiasu kiasi (fear of losing, fear of death) Singapore’s ports will continue to rule despite Malaysia-China’s mega port projects.

Really? Then good for you, Singapore!

“But, when the ports and East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) projects are operational, let’s see whether Asean Today and Singapore are still as positive as they are today,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

“When the ports and ECRL are in operation, and when the cargo vessels from China and elsewhere start berthing in Malaysian ports … I do not think the island republic will be as cocky as they are today,” he added.

Syed Razak said Singapore was in fact wary of the potential trading and economic threats posed by the billions of dollars in joint-ventures between Malaysia and China.

“Of cause they (Singapore) will not feel it now. But they surely will, in time,” he added.

Is there light at the end of the tunnel for Malaysia’s economy?

Is there light at the end of the tunnel for Malaysia’s economy?
At least there’s some positive news from the World Bank that Malaysia’s growth is gaining a lift from higher investment and a recovery in global trade.

Malaysians sure hope that the World Bank’s growth forecasts on East Asia is accurate.

“At least there’s light at the end of the tunnel with so many negative forecasts and claims from certain quarters,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

With investments from China and India at all-time highs the past year, Syed Razak said the World Bank’s positive outlook was certainly a welcome relief.

“Malaysians must remain alert and seize the opportunities that come with such a positive outlook. Ignore what the doomsayers or naysayers are claiming.

“The World Bank’s forecasts are based on economic statistics. So, do the necessary, and that is for investors to keep a lookout for real and solid opportunities,” he added.

But that were all based on an Oct 4, 2017, repor…

A disgusting, shameless animal-like Datuk!

A disgusting, shameless animal-like Datuk!
Much have been written about the horrible behaviour of Malaysian ‘knights’ and now an animal-like Datuk is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in a budget hotel in Miri.

And, the alleged rapist Datuk is 82 years old! How the hell was he educated and what has he been learning from the tribulations of life?

Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said “this is really a very sad case because one would expect an octogenarian to be wise and well behaved”.

“Just because of his age, it does not mean that he can do anything he wishes. The law must be abided.

“This is really a very unfortunate case but the law is the law. He must face the music, if found guilty.

“It’s not inhumane to lock him up behind bars, if found guilty. It is inhumane to let him get away with a heinous crime inflicted on a little girl.," he added.

He said he would not be surprised that the Datuk would flee the country after being released on bail. After all, what is the b…
